Real EC2. Every test run provisions an actual EC2 instance in AWS — the same instance families you deploy production workloads to. Nothing is emulated or containerized on our end.

The demos are simulated in your browser so anyone can try the experience instantly, without an AWS account or signup. They mirror the real product's flow and output format exactly — once you're in the beta, the same actions provision actual EC2 instances.

Your choice. Most teams run in a sandboxed AWS account we manage so there's zero setup. Enterprise teams can connect their own AWS account instead, with scoped IAM roles generated per run.

Joining the waitlist locks in a discounted rate on the Solo and Team plans (currently 50% off list price) for as long as your subscription stays active without lapsing. It's our way of rewarding the teams who join before the product is fully public.

Containers share the host kernel and virtualize away exactly the things that cause production-only bugs: instance-specific CPU steal time, real network topology, and hardware-level I/O behavior. Society Labs runs your suite on the actual EC2 instance type you deploy to, so those failure modes show up in CI instead of in production.

Environment provisioning averages about 90 seconds, and instances are torn down automatically the moment your suite finishes — so you're only ever paying for the exact runtime of your tests.

Yes. All plans are billed monthly with no long-term contract. If you cancel and come back later, your founding-member rate is not guaranteed to still be available.
